2009 has been quite the year for debut albums! With bands like The Big Pink and The XX taking the world by storm on just the first lick, they’ve left a lot of hope and inspiration for other up-and-coming bands. After talking to the Grimygoods contributors, friends and fellow music snobs, here’s our list of the Top 10 Debut Albums of 2009! (Three are from LA!)

Both of these bands are obviously amazing. And although debut albums, they’re supergroups! I don’t think it’d be fair when to truly consider them a “debut.”
