After receiving some major indie Blog love with their 2009 debut album “Ain’t So Bright,” the Electric Owls are set to release their new EP “Cullowhee Songs” on November 9th. The four-song EP jangles with that inviting sound of backyard instruments you’d hear at a country hoedown, except the Electric Owls add some hot flavor with their sugary beats and electro flares. Front man, Andy Herod wrote the EP over the last few months and with the help of some friends it also served as a home recording experiment full of rich vocals, guitars, banjos, beats, ukuleles, synths and so much more.

Home recorded and hand packaged, “Cullowhee Songs” is comfort music that will keep your fingers snapping: it’s warm and cozy, but definitely has a bouncy edge to it. The EP will be available via Vagrant on November 9th digitally and on vinyl via www.ElectricOwls.com.
