@elsie i had some reservations about listing katy perry but when it comes down to it, there’s some joy in catchy pop. not gonna pretend i don’t like something just because it isn’t intellectual or sophisticated in the general sense. it doesn’t have to always be about the latest hip indie band; a little variety is nice and if it makes you move then even better.

Bunch of great picks. Some not so good, but to each their own. The National def gets my vote for top 5, maybe even #1. Tons of good music, so hard to choose. Thanks GG!

  8. Larry

Great selection all around. Keep up the good work guys. Up and up, one of the best and most legit music blogs in La. Also stoaked Lower Dens got some props!

  9. Albert COletta

Why isn’t The National on more lists!!!!???? They have created by far, the BEST album of 2010. Superb lyrics, arrangements, vocals, EVERYTHING!

  10. Frank

Nice list Sandy B. (no surprise there!!) Big ups to the GG staff too. Matt and Walter have some pretty unique and worthy lists.
