With so much indie music protruding out of Los Angeles and New York, sometime you have to get a ‘lil international to keep things fresh. Below are three of our favorite Latin bands that are currently bustin’ out some amazing tunes and live shows. Check them all out below and get hip to them!

Who: Davila 666
What:
Describing themselves as “Menudo on drugs,” Davila 666 have the grimy swagger of early 60s punk and garage, twisted with the sugary vocals (at times) of 90s boy bands. They’re catchy as fuck, but naughty too.
Where: San Juan, Puerto Rico
When: They just completed their North American tour but hopefully they’ll be back in Los Angeles soon!

Who: Guadalupe Plata
What:
Busting out some soul-clappin’ dirty-down-blues, this trio has a bangin’ authentic sound (even have a dude on the washtub bass!) that will make even the squarest of squares cut-a-rug.
Where: Ubeda, Spain
When: They just played SXSW and we’re hoping to get them back in the U.S. (preferably California) very soon!

Who: Kellies (aka Las Kellies)
What: All girl band trio that mixes feral garage, exotic dub and post punk into one feisty sound. Not to mention they have totally adorable accents and can sing in more languages than you can count on your hand.
Where: Buenos Aires, Argentina
When: Sadly, no U.S. dates yet, just Europe and U.K. Check out their tour dates.
