Oakland, CA-based post-metal band Neurosis is set to headline The Fonda on Friday, January 4, 2013. Initially a hardcore/punk band, they have since progressed into a more experimental dark metal sound that’s supplemented by strong visuals in their live performances. They garnered mainstream attention in 1996 when they toured with Pantera. They started their own independent record label in 2000 called Neurot Recordings which has since discovered many other innovative musicians as well. This is a killer metal show that you can’t miss. Tickets are available for $27.50 or you can win a pair of tickets to Neurosis below. Doors at 8:00pm and show starts at 9:00pm. It’s all ages!
