The brand-spanking new First City Festival is piping around the corner, this August 24 – 25 in Monterey, CA at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center. The beachside music festival has an all-star line-up to kick off its inaugural two-day music festival. Some of the featured acts include: Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, MGMT, Neko Case, Beach House, Washed Out, Father John Misty, The Dodos, Bleached, Generationals, Jeffertitti’s Nile, and many more great bands! First City Festival will be at the site of the iconic Monterey Pop Festival. Festival attendees will get to experience three live music performance stages plus a Vaudeville variety stage. A full carnival, complete with rides and games, will be available to guests. Curated dining options will include local craft beers as well as wine and food vendors. First City Festival, named after Monterey’s claim as the official “first capital” of California, promises a sophisticated musical line-up of 30+ bands in a relaxed and beautiful coastal setting.

Also, the subject line of your email should read: First City Festival Contest Entry. When you’re done with your email, send us a Tweet (see below) so we know you entered the contest or you can post on our Facebook wall. If you post on our Facebook wall, you need to tag the First City Festival Facebook page as well! We’ll select a winner that has done all of the above mentioned. Winners will be announced via email, Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday, July 31. Winners will have until 10am Thursday, Aug. 1 to reply back to our email and confirm their win.
