If you haven’t gone to a beach concert yet, there’s still some time to get your fix! Santa Monica Pier’s Twilight Concerts series is almost over and they have brought heavyweights from all genres every Thursday this past couple months!
Last Thursday the audience went wild with heavy doses of big band jazz brought to you by Venice’s own Dustbowl Revival. The vibe on the beach grew even hotter when the headliner, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue hit the stage. Show-goers were dancing and squealing to their heart’s content, and random tourists walking along the pier were intrigued by such brilliant sound and excitement.
It is always a pleasure finding KCRW DJs hosting the night and this evening was looking good with Aaron Byrd guiding us through the sounds.
Sadly, the Twilight Concerts are almost over. Do yourself a favor and end your summer accordingly with one of these FREE special shows! There are two left! You can catch Gardens & Villa this Thursday, or the legendary Jimmy Cliff the following Thursday! Click here for more information.
