Motley Crue retiring

The iconic hair metal slayers, Mötley Crüe are calling it quits! Founded by bass guitarist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee, who were later joined by lead guitarist Mick Mars and lead singer Vince Neil — these glam rockers are putting down their “Girls Girls Girls” and “Wild Side” to settle down. Well, maybe not all that, but they’re definitely retiring. The band are currently holding a press conference right now at the Roosevelt Hotel where they are heralding it as “the biggest announcement of their career.” The stage is already set with headstones, symbolizing each of the band’s members. But before they take off on retirement, Mötley Crüe will play one more tour. This farewell tour is expected to have 72 dates with Alice Cooper as the opener, and it’s going to start real soon!

As for Southern California Mötley Crüe tour dates, Mötley will headline the Hollywood Bowl on Monday, July 21st and the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on Tuesday, July 22. The band want everyone to attend their farewell tour. Tickets will be as low as $15 for select dates, and $19 – $119 for most tour dates. A fan pre-Sale for Mötley Crüe’s farewell tour will begin tomorrow via their Website. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. via Live Nation. There will also be a Live Nation pre-sale on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. Click here for all the Mötley Crüe tour dates.

Mötley Crüe’s been together for 30 years, 100s of millions of albums, had a lot of debaucherous sex and pretty much epitomized the rock star lifestyle.
