Some 20 years ago or so, Jello Biafra’s political punk brainchild, the Dead Kennedys officially disbanded. After that Biafra created bands such as Lard, Jello Biafra and the Melvins and he peformed with many other bands. It wasn’t’ until Iggy Pop’s 60th birthday gig at the Warfield in San Francisco, Biafra laid plans for his own 50th birthday party and finally decided it was time to start a band of his own. In comes Jello Biafra And The Guantanamo School Of Medicine punkin’ hard since 2008. This past April, the band released their second LP titled, White People and the Damage Done. To keep celebrating the release, Jello Biafra And The Guantanamo School Of Medicine have headlining show date at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, April 6th! Supporting Jello Biafra are Grimy Goods favorites, Le Butcherettes and our L.A. buddies, Death Hymn #9.

Tickets to Jello Biafra And The Guantanamo School Of Medicine at the Roxy are priced at $16-$18 and the show is all-ages. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m.
