In support of their highly anticipated third album, La Sera have booked a record release show at the Echo on Thursday, May 8th. Now that Kay Goodman has bid farewell to Vivian Girls, she can start focusing on La Sera. While La Sera’s debut self-titled album and sophomore album, Sees The Light were both about heartbreak, Goodman is now writing for brighter day. Dropping a fierce new punk-inspired album (Hour of the Dawn) on via Hardly Art on May 13th, the record promises a more faster, louder and more aggressive sound in the likes of The Pretenders, Minor Threat, X, The Smiths, The Cars and more. Tickets to La Sera at the Echo are priced at $10 – $12 and the show is 18-and-over. Tickets will go on sale today, Thursday, March 6th at 12 p.m. noon.
