If you wanted a place to escape the cold on a Saturday night with the raddest West Coasters in town The Echo had it all for you. With a packed house, lines since doors opened and an eager crowd waiting for the bands to tear it up, The Echo welcomed The Aggrolites and Boogaloo Assassins for a night of heat and elbow to elbow dancing action. Latin soul, dirty reggae, funky boogaloo, salsa in english, Motown and Jamaican ska, these bands had all the groove needed to spark an explosive night of music. You could hear The Aggrolites fanatics cry out “I love you Jesse!” referring to their bold lead singer, who with his stage presence and charm captivated the crowd from the moment he hit the stage. The diverse concert-goers also danced up a storm to sweet boogaloo sounds, especially when the Boogaloo Assassins wooed the crowd with their cover of Dawn Penn’s  “No No No.” The night was a fantastic blend of West Coast warmth and soul manifested in a live show with a couple of the best LA bands to keep tabs on in 2015.
