Glass Animals

I’m not a fan of ginormous festivals, it’s just not my scene but with Coachella happening last weekend and this weekend, this means an endless amount of great bands playing every night throughout Los Angeles during Goldenvoice’s Coachela sideshow series.

This last Tuesday night brought UK indie band, Glass Animals to The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. Talking to some of the die-hards at the front of the stage, people were lining up for the show at 3pm just to make sure they could lock down their front row spot. This paid off for them as the charismatic frontman, Dave Bayley, took to the barrier for their hit, “Gooey”. Bayley was all smiles throughout the set, his enthusiasm and energy was totally contagious, even making the too-cool-for-school hipsters nod their heads. It’s refreshing to see a band that obviously is having so much fun.

Opener, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, played a sweet and soulful set, which won over the young crowd.
