Robert Glasper
Robert Glasper is making a highly anticipated return to his acoustic jazz trio for his new album, Covered (The Robert Glasper Trio recorded live at Capitol Studios), which will be released June 16 on Blue Note Records. To celebrate the new record, Robert Glasper will headline the El Rey Theatre on Wednesday, June 17! The original trio, featuring Vicente Archer on bass and Damion Reid on drums, were part of Glasper’s first two Blue Note albums: Canvas (2005) and In My Element (2007). The new record mainly consisted of covers, drawing from some of Glasper’s favorite songs by Radiohead, Joni Mitchell, Jhené Aiko, John Legend, Kendrick Lamar, and more, as well as several Glasper originals.

Tickets to Robert Glasper at the El Rey Theatre are priced at $27.00 – $37.00 and the show is all ages. Tickets will go on sales this Friday, May 8 and 10am.
