Little Boots

Kicking off her U.S. tour, English electro-pop artist, Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots, played to a sold out show at The Echo last night. The night didn’t start off smoothly as doors opened nearly 45 minutes after they were supposed to, due to the last minute addition of pop singer, Leland. Once the doors did open, the fans—some of which had been in line since 11am—rushed the stage and were a bit upset about the late start. Once Leland took the stage, all was forgiven as the soulful singer and Little Boots co-collaborator played a short and sweet set of R&B-ish electro-pop.

Following Leland were the Washington DC based Gems. Reminiscent of XX, the duo won over the crowd and had everybody talking about them. Obviously, the highlight of the evening was Little Boots with her electro dance heavy set, Little Boots played a lot of new material from her new album, Working Girl. Miss Hesketh had the sweaty packed house dancing and singing along, despite a couple of skirmishes over the prime real estate directly at the front of the stage. All in all, it was a huge success and all three acts were not to be missed.
