Tokyo Police Club

This past Friday, Tokyo Police Club headlined the Observatory in Orange County with support by Max and The Moon. It was a vibrant night of music with solid performances by both bands.

Max and the Moon opened up the night with their robust flavor of indie rock. For someone who has never heard of them before, I was completely into their stage presence and energy involving the current Orange County crowd. Hailing from Chino Hills, California, this four-man band killed any and all competition to their scene.

Of course, the moment everyone was waiting for … Tokyo Police Club. Sharing the indie rock scene, these four guys from Ontario, Canada, brought a great time to Santa Ana. The night was driven through frontman, David Monk’s vocals which delivered instant smiles across the happy crowd. Playing songs from their latest full-length release, Forcefield as well as a variety of fan favorites, Tokyo Police Club had fans singing, dancing, and basking in pure joy.
