Best Coast

Last week at The Observatory in Santa Ana, both Best Coast and The Lovely Bad Things gave fans an epic night of music they won’t soon forget.

When it comes to opening acts, The Lovely Bad Things know how to get down to chaos. From somewhere down the street in Orange County themselves, these high school friends showed their take on surf-rock, punk. Working every angle of the stage, the group revealed their unmatched energy and gave the audience one of the best opening act performances they have ever witnessed. Honestly though, they could have easily held their own as the evening’s headliner. The Lovely Bad Things energy is as contagious as the winter flu. Only with The Lovely Bad Things, you’ll be begging to be infected with their positive energy. Showing their appreciation for their fans and the music they love to create, the band are no strangers to taking their show to the floor via stage dives and crowd surfing (just take a look at the photos below).

Readily on it’s way, the energy at the Observatory only grew stronger when the sweetheart of the night walked on the stage. Bethany Cosentino is a babe. That’s all there is to say. All the girls and many guys in the venue looked in awe as she made an entrance that proved she was ready to go. With their pop punk melodies, fans were lovestruck as Consentino charmed the crowd with her sweet vocals and rock goddess stage presence, while the badass Bob Bruno showed his skills (and smiles) on the guitar. The two are the perfect duo, churning out fun and all the right vibes to warm up any room. Wrapping up their California Nights tour run on this very night, Best Coast went out with a bang and gave the audience all they could have wanted and more. The Lovely Bad Things joined them on stage to dance the show off during the encore of their hit song “Boyfriend.”

Not to mention, Bethany knows how to do it right. Her glitter and gold microphone and tambourine stand was equipped with a drink holder. Now that’s how you party! After thanking everyone and throwing a fan’s bra into the crowd, the night was finished and we all went home with perma-grins plastered across our faces. Solid night.
