Burger x Observatory 5 Year Anniversary delivers all colors of the rock ‘n’ roll rainbow

The week long festivities came to an exciting end on Sunday for the Burger x Observatory 5 year anniversary show in the OC. The day started off strong on the main stage with the captivating Kim and the Created and Jigsaw Seen in the Constellation Room. Moving Units started to get the people dancing and really set the tone for the evening. It was clear many youngsters were huge fans of Tijuana Panthers, crowd surfing ensued and continued throughout their whole set, bassist Daniel Michicoff joined in on the fun. The musical stylings of Chicano Batman were a nice mix that kept the party going and dancing some more.

The Orwells seemed to be long awaited by the fans, as they just went completely wild. Frontman Mario Cuomo came out with a bottle of tequila in one hand and a new roll of toilet paper on the other, which he later threw, up and into the crowd. Cuomo also went on to puncture a beach ball that made its way to the stage. The deflated ball was then tucked in his pants for a few moments before he threw it.

Not surprising, everyone in attendance still had enough energy to dance by the time Crystal Castles came to the stage and rock the house with the new vocalist Edith Frances. Too $hort performed songs from his long career, one in particular just for the 90s kids, “Gettin’ It”.
