No one does it better at letting us experience one of our all-time favorite bands, than the L.A. tribute band Sweet and Tender Hooligans. Led by “The Mexican Morrissey” Jose Maldonado, the band has been covering The Smiths since 1992, even singing some songs in Spanish! The Sweet and Tender Hooligans will be headlining the Fonda Theatre on Sunday, May 22nd in celebration of Morrissey’s 57th Unhappy Birthday. Morrissey and Smiths fans unite! Opening up the set will be El Conjunto Nueva Ola.
Tickets to Morrissey’s 57th Unhappy Bday Celebration are priced at $20, doors open at 7:00pm, and the event is All Ages. You can purchase tickets or try and win a pair of tickets by entering the contest below!
