If you weren’t at The Regent this past Tuesday night, you missed out big time! The double bill was hotter than ever with touring friends Twin Peaks and Hinds. First up were the ever-fun ladies of Hinds. I have actually never seen them perform before so when they walked on stage to Hot Chocolate’s You Sexy Thing; you can say I was beyond excited. All the way from Madrid, Spain, these fierce and fun women kick some serious indie rock ass. They aren’t just these cute girls you see with thick Spanish accents. From the start to finish the crowd was wild. Like I said, since they have been touring together around the world, they’re very good friends with co-headliners, Twin Peaks. There were certain moments in their set that you could catch guitarist, Cadien popping up from behind an amp just to cheer on his girls and the crowd! Eventually the set did come to the end but we had a grand finale of sorts with the other members of Twin Peaks joining in dance as well as crew and fans.

I repeat. This was just the start of the evening.

A little time passing and we were ready for the main event.

Twin Peaks, ya’ll. Ready to yip, yell and holler, fans packed in the venue tighter than before. These guys know how to party. I’ve seen them numerous occasions and each time they just bring the heat. Proud Chicago natives, Jack, Clay, Cadien, Collin, and Connor were in LA to have a rock n’ roll extravaganza! The crowd swayed and pushed as they chanted along to their favorite songs, “Flavor”, “Getting Better,” and “Walk to the One You Love.” Recently touring with Cage The Elephant, Twin Peaks have gotten their name out there a little more, and you could tell they brought in old and new fans from all over.  Ending their set with a crazy cover of “Dead Flowers” by the Rolling Stones was just a small sense of the flavor these boys bring to every single song they perform.
