Damn, I wish I still lived in Carlsbad/San Diego (for countless reasons). This would be just a fun drunken bike ride away. I will be there nonetheless, soaking up that beautiful San Diego sun as I listen to some of my favorite bands on the O’side beach.
FM94/9 is bringing back the Independence Jam at the Oceanside Pier Plaza Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 7th. Performing at this year’s Independence Jam will be The Black Keys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metric and Dead Confederate on the Main Stage. On the Casbah Local 94/9 Stage will be Dirty Sweet, Scarlet Symphony, The Creepy Creeps and Apes of Wrath.
Holy shit that’s a fun line-up! I’m stoked and surprised The Creepy Creeps are playing, time for some SD style skate garage surf mayhem.
Tickets for Independence Jam go on-sale on Monday, April 27th at noon. Tickets are just $30, which includes all service fees and a $1/ticket charity donation to the About the Music Fund to help music education programs in the San Diego County Public Schools.
