As always, the second Thursday of every month is the the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. It’s an awesome FREE event featuring some of the hottest artists and some pretty sweet people watching. Be sure to make it this Thursday, Aug. 13 for a special event hosted by Blends LA, titled “Sunglasses at Night.” Just like the famed 80’s hit song by Corey Hart, “Sunglasses at Night” is going to be cool, cool, cool.
Eighty students from The Art Institute of Los Angeles and Hollywood will be given pairs of white Oakley Hijinx sunglasses, which will serve as a canvas for them to create works of wearable art. This unique show has been held in Seattle, San Francisco and Las Vegas with each one attracting large crowds who came out to support the aspiring artists.
