Former frontman of the ’90s alt rock band, Ben Folds Five, brought his solo act to the Wiltern this past Thursday, July 21, 2011 with support by Kenton Chen. Touring in celebration of his recent album, Lonely Avenue, Ben Folds played a variety of songs from his new album as well as a good selection from Way to Normal and a few other crowd favorites. Fans were all smiles at the Wiltern as Ben continuously engaged them with talk about music composition and other geeky banter between songs. He definitely knows how to work the crowd with his amazing personality and solid composing.
