Back in July, we covered Shabazz Palaces‘ Los Angeles debut at the Troubadour and we were thoroughly impressed with both their debut album, Black Up and their live sound. It seems as though the token hipsters-that-heart-hip-hop must have finally jumped on the bandwagon with this former one-part Digable Planets (Butterfly) duo, because the Echo was packed for this show. Unlike their debut performance which had about 50 attendees (not including any hipsters, just real hip hop fans).
