The legendary father of psychedelic rock Roky Erickson, played the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, Mar. 1.  The Austin, Texas native and founding member of the 13th Floor Elevators has been rocking since 1965. Although much older now than in his prime, Roky still puts on a genuine and engaging performance straight from the heart. The smiles and crowd support that filled the El Rey really proved Roky still has a loyal audience that just adore the man. If you have yet to watch his documentary, “You’re Gonna Miss Me,” pick it up! It’s amazing and Roky has quite the life story to tell.
