The Luckman Fine Arts Complex recently started their new season with nothing but a stellar line up that promises quality shows for the months to come. Not only did they have a major songstress, Lila Downs but they also had one of L.A.’s truly sweet bands attached beautifully to their roots keeping it real in their lyrics, Las Cafeteras. The show was sold-out and the crowd was absolutely warm and fascinated by the display of music since the very beginning. Las Cafeteras, with folkloric instruments and their amazing zapateado was a perfect opening for this woman with a huge talent and (we are not exaggerating) ridiculously awesome voice! So yeah, if you didn’t go, you missed out. Too good.
