Oh yeah, we get fancy, and there’s no better way than visiting the Luckman Fine Arts Complex to make it happen. This past Saturday we got to see one of Cuba’s greatest jazz pianist, Mr. Chucho Valdés. With his ultra fast fingers strolling like a magical mad-man across the keys accompanied by the support of smooth, young, good looking and energetic percussionists and a bass — Chucho mesmerized a multicultural and multigenerational crowd. The evening’s spectacular performance ended with standing ovations that morphed into a Latin jazz-clap-beat — the entire ensemble left us all craving for more. History in the making!
