This past Friday was a night full of some pretty kick-ass shows in Los Angeles. Among the list of greats were local shredders, the Crystal Antlers with the Lovely Bad Things at the Bootleg. Hot off the grind from the release of their new album, Nothing Is Real, the Crystal Antlers celebrated their new release with a riveting set that just about blew our ears off. Fast and furious, embodying all things 90s grunge with a rough blend of lo-fi garage rock — the Crystal Antlers had been touring since the Oct. 15th release of Nothing Is Real. It was great to have them back in L.A. melting our faces off. To top it all off, the band were giving away a bunch of free T-shirts at the end of their set which was a very special treat for fans.
Warming up the Bootleg before the Crystal Antlers took the stage, the Lovely Bad Things hyped the crowd with their always energetic set. Keeping it interesting and alternating instruments on stage, the crowd was eating the Lovely Bad Things up. They deliver fierce punk tunes with some of the best stage moves and facial expressions. I mean, just look at this previous photo coverage … like a bowl of ice cream, the Lovely Bad Things are always damn good.
