First things first, if you don’t like your music loud and fast, you do not belong at a Los Crudos show. The band’s sold-out show at the Echoplex was an explosion of noise, sweat, and bodies flyine everywhere. I was coming back from a photo shoot, so I had my backpack with me. I learned the hard way, never to wear a backpack to a show, especially a hardcore punk show. People were pushing, and pulling on my backpack’s straps, in poor attempts for leverage to get onto the stage. Moshers would grab me from my backpack and whip me backwards, all while the show goes on and I attempt to snap photographs. I’ve been to my share of rowdy shows (Trash Talk, Fidlar, Limp Wrist, Ty Segall, etc.), but this show was beyond the craziest; utter mayhem.

Infest, Despise You, Impulse, Suspect, and Cave State were the other bands that ripped my face off during the course of the night. During Infest’s set a girl tried swinging around the neck of the singer, only for him to toss her off to the side. All I remember is seeing her flying off him and him muttering “sorry” afterward. During the course of show, fans would violently and frantically climb on stage to dive off or even steal the microphone out of the singer’s hands! As I type this, I feel like an old man with a sore back from all the whipping back and forth and the bodies falling on top of me. But hey, that’s a punk show right?!
