Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have announced support for their North American tour and it looks like the lovely Los Angeles ladies of WARPAINT will be opening up the show at the Shrine Auditorium on Friday, July 11th. If you’re still a Nick Cave virgin, we highly recommend you get your cherry popped at this show. We last caught Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds at Coachella and a very special performance at the Fonda Theatre. Here’s the thing, I missed Warpaint idk how many times, most recently at the el Rey due to it selling out and bleah. As for Nick Cave, I’ve also missed seeing him countless times, and it seems like I could totally kill two major seagulls with one arrow. Not to mention Warpaint gives me butterflies. PICK ME!! 😀
I’d love to see Nick Cave again.I may be the longest standing fan around here. June will mark 30 years since my first show (opening for the Cramps at Perkin’s Palace in Pasadena). It seems like half the places I’ve seen him play aren’t even around anymore such as the Velodrome in Carson, the Variety Arts Center downtown (still standing across from Staples Center, but long closed), and Club Lhasa where I saw him and Rollins do spoken word.

And, the only time I saw Nick Cave was at Coachella last year and I was surrounded by a huge amount of the lamest people on the planet! First, because Murder Ballads is not simply an album. It’s an action.
