International axe man, Bombino helped get things started on day three of Coachella weekend two as he brought a different flavor to the festival than most.
Dressed in a variety of robes that must have been sweltering hot (but not as hot as the Sahara Desert, which is near Niger where they originate), Bombino rocked things out and impressed the crowd with his mystical guitar riffs.
Truth be told, Bombino would have been a perfect fit for the 4:20 set, especially since Chance the Rapper had to cancel his, leaving a void for some good pot tunes. They were very jammy and Bombino’s voice was something that was enhanced by the acoustics of the Gobi tent.
They definitely had things off on the right foot for a chill and relaxed Sunday afternoon as the festival began its final wind down.
