Good ole rock ‘n’ roll was the flavor of the night this past Thursday at The Echo. From the early 60s surf/rock sounds of Isaac Rother & The Phantoms to the 70s Americana rock of Jesus Sons, all the way to the more modern sounds of Battleme — it was an interesting night of live music. Maybe because this wasn’t your typical hipster synth/pop/garage/indie rock night, the turnout for the show was poor at best. It seemed that the local favorites, Jesus Sons and Isaac Roth & The Phantoms, were the acts that fans came to see perform. By the time Portland’s Battleme took the stage, the room had nearly emptied. While technically good, Battleme just didn’t seem to fit in with the other stellar performances.

Regardless of the slim crowd, we have some great photos of all three bands doing their thing!
