“Anytime there is a list of the Top 10 Bands of the ‘90s…the top 100 bands of the…the top 1000 bands of the ‘90s, we’re never on it,” said Presidents of the United State of America frontman Chris Ballew towards the end of their enthusiastic set Sunday afternoon at FYF Fest.

Maybe they don’t get credit with the critics, but they surely had the respect of the crowd that was pretty deep in numbers. Nostalgia was a common theme of FYF and on Sunday, Presidents of the USA kickstarted things in that regard.

Taking people back even further than their own catalog, the band covered the ‘80s smash “Video Killed the Radio Star” before playing “Peaches.” One fan after the show said, “That may be one of the worst songs ever written, and I loved every second of it.”

You certainly weren’t the only one.
