In a very intimate setting set up for a few chosen ones, last night, KCRW hosted a night to enjoy singer songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello up close and personal at their “Apogee Sessions”. Hosted by Chris Douridas, the music gathering took place at Apogee Studio, the private recording studio of legendary producer/mixer, Bob Clearmountain and Apogee Electronics. These sessions cater to music lovers who want to experience an artist up close with a superb sound.

Meshell Ndegeocello is currently on tour promoting her new album Comet, Come To Me that masterful and delicately brings up songs of sorrow, heartache and human emotions. Her new proposal even includes Whodini’s “Friends” taking this song to a whole different level of soul.   Accompanied by Christopher Bruce on guitar, Jebin Bruni on keys and Abraham Rounds on drums, Ndegeocello’s raw bass and vocals became one sweet sound that goes beyond sentimental in the perfect setting.
