From the UK, The Horrors made their way to Los Angeles for a thrilling performance at the Mayan in Downtown L.A. this past Wednesday, October 15th. With dark lighting casting enigmatic silhouettes of the band, The Horrors bestowed a most engaging performance for Los Angeles. Touring in support of their new album, Luminous, the follow up to 2011’s Skying, fans were enamoured by The Horrors’ new jams, as well as the classics that first caught their attention. Exuding that cool darkwave vibe, The Horrors owned the stage as they casted their post-punk-synth-goth splendour all over the crowd. Bodies swayed in slow motion as heads bobbed to the beats. The Horrors gave L.A. a night to remember.

Opening up for The Horrors were San Francisco’s Moon Duo. Part of the Sacred Bones family, Moon Duo kicked off the evening in the best way. They warmed up fans with their psychedelic sounds and dreamy vocals, and were the perfect appetizer to The Horrors’ main dish.
