Last night, the chaotically glorious Le Butcherettes took the stage at the Troubadour in West Hollywood for a thrilling performance that will never be forgotten. Opening with up with “Dress Off” from their 2010 album, Sin Sin Sin, the ferocious duo unleashed a hurricane of rivetting rock ‘n’ roll on the crowd. Lead singer Teri Gender Bender was captivating with her antics, stomping her bare feet and thrashing her body theatrically to each song. They closed their set with a rare non-album track “Gold Notebook” which left fans craving more. It was the perfect closer for what was to come next: Melvins.

Melvins hit the stage to a very welcoming crowd that cheered as they opened with “Hag Me” and played new songs like “Sesame Street Meat” from their recent album Hold It In (released October 14, 2014). The purveyors of doom metal continuously played through each song and gave a stellar performance. There were some true fans in the front row singing to every song and air-guitaring to every riff. The night ended with lead singer, Buzz Osborne abruptly stopping the show to sing a surprise birthday song for drummer, Dale Crover. The music remained buzzing as the Melvins slowly left the stage, one by one leaving a lasting impression in their own bizarre ways.
