In celebration of the 2015 GRAMMY’s, Sonos has paired up with the hottest sound influencers in town. We went to the Capitol Records building where Sonos and Blue Note Records joined forces lighting up the building blue to celebrate 75 years of Blue Note’s musical and visual contributions. 54,000 watts of blue honor the history that has shaped many of today’s music. These pair also took the opportunity to share their unique collaboration, the Sonos Blue Note Play:1 blending Blue Notes music heritage and Sonos epic sound quality, in blue.

This intimate night was extra special with the first-ever collaboration between the Grammy nominees Robert Glasper Experiment and sounds curated by the hip-hop icon, Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. Jazz, soul, R&B and hip hop smartly put together felt nothing like blue. Even a lucky member of the audience was serenaded by Q-Tip to the sounds of “Bonita Applebaum“.  The sounds of today’s jazz throughout the night felt sharp, modern and somewhat experimental and we wish them the best at the GRAMMYs!

P.S To the girl holding her cellphone in front of Q-Tip’s face the entire performance, you suck.
