The word on the street is that Gesaffelstein‘s two Coachella performances will be his last live festival sets ever. Sunday’s set in the Mojave tent nailed home the thought that this should be sad news for everyone.
Providing one of the best light shows of the entire weekend, Gesaffestein’s crowd was serviceable considering many people were getting ready to get their spots for Drake on the main stage.
Following up Stromae in the Mojave, Gesafflestein kept the French’s momentum going as he spun the hits “Pursuit” and “Hate or Glory.”
Perhaps due to the fact he won’t be on the festival circuit any longer, the French DJ gave zero f*cks in obeying the strict set time of 9:20 to 10:30, going over his time until he was finally cut off. A guy came over the speakers and had to fade out his music.
I wonder what the effect will be on his weekend two set, whether they’ll be monitoring him a little closer in the sound booth. Whatever the case, you won’t want to miss him there if you’re lucky to be headed to weekend two.
