The Tallest Man On Earth (aka Sweden’s Kristian Matsson) gave the Observatory in Santa a most delicious aural treat last Tuesday. Touring in support of his most personal record yet, the Tallest Man On Earth performed songs from his lush new album Dark Bird Is Home, as well as some classic favorites. Exciting fans with his every word and swagger, Matsson waited until the encore of his endearing set to play “The Dreamer.” Fans were cooing with joy as they looked up in awe. This man is comfort food for the ears. With his folk-y banjo and guitar tunes I don’t think I’ve seen a man with more passion for what he does. Matsson showed endless joy throughout his performance, which in turn, infected the audience in the same positive way. It was truly wonderful.
