How do you fit twenty + musicians on the stage of The Echo???  Sly5thAve.

Sly5thAve aka Sylvester Onyejiaka is a musican and producer from Texas who now resides in New York. He came to Los Angeles to celebrate his first vinyl release and what a sweet party it was! He was accompanied by his very own big brass band The Clubcasa Chamber Orchestra and a heavy roster of Los Angeles musicians such as Todd Simon, Miguel Atwood Ferguson and Gee Gee Gallegos amongst others. Sylvester masterfully directed and at the same time performed with a very Sly5thAve uniqueness, extremely worth a late Monday night out. Footlong Development, the masterminds behind the production of this night filled with music lovers did a wonderful job making it a steamy night flowing naturally.

But seriously, how did so many tubas, saxophones and more fit on the stage?!?! The infectious funky sound was not the only surprise. Will Holland aka Quantic, who had been killing it the past few days in LA with surprise show appearances, sharing the stage with De La Soul and probably eating tacos at some street late at night—Quantic joined in the heavy instrumentals from Kendrick Lamar to Drake and the heavy banger “Uptown Funk” that Sly5thAve brilliantly put together. You can find Sly5thAve’s limited edition white 7″ vinyl right HERE and get your feel good music on.
