Mrs. Fish is the perfect swanky spot in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles to get an extra notch on your looks, have a craft cocktail and enjoy a live show. This place has been featuring a roster of class act music numbers that we can confidently recommend any day of the week for a guaranteed good time. Last weekend we caught the garage and post-punk sounds of Plastic Pinks and Corners. And last night we enjoyed the vibrant tunes of Los Angeles-based Breakestra.

Led by Funky Sole’s Music Man Miles, Breakestra brought the funk, the hip hop beats, and the cool soul vibes to Mrs. Fish. The heavy vocals had the crowd feeling every moment of the performance. Live arrangements and beat boxing provided extra special touches to the night as the voice of singers Afrodyete and Mixmaster Wolf filled the air.

Opening act Papafish did some really sweet dub style covers which perfect to set the mood. It was a night of vibrant and exotic rhythms that kept the crowd in constant motion and excitement.

All shows at Mrs. Fish are FREE, and 21-and-over. With plenty of seating and three full service bars, and even small eats, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind live music experience. If you have yet to check out Downtown LA’s latest venue, we highly recommend you make a trip to Mrs. Fish! Check out their upcoming shows here.
