Nothing band

The Echoplex was filled with disorder, sadness, and of course, fun when Philly’s Nothing headlined a night of loud music with support by Culture AbuseWrongTennis System and Big Jesus. Touring in support of their brooding new album Tired of Tomorrow, Nothing’s new LP is out now via Relapse Records.

Tennis System was a surprise for an opener with their simple set up. For just a band of three, the amount of atmosphere put out by them was unmatched.

Wrong, the metal band from Florida, played tight and aggressive with freedom in their presence.

Following Wrong, was San Francisco’s Culture Abuse. They came out and kicked the audience’s ass with not one, not two, but three guitar players, a bassist, and a lead singer who stayed true to the punk motto by giving zero fucks.

Nothing, a band with a troubled and disturbed past, seems to carry that kind of energy with each song they played, filling the room with so much distortion and reverb that it sounded like hundred chainsaws cutting through my ears.

Unfortunately we missed out on the first opening act, Big Jesus, but you can check out their tunes here.
