Last Saturday at the Annenberg Space in Century City, Illmatic fans were in for a treat. The folks over at KCRW and the Anneberg Foundation went out with a bang for their final Sound In Focus event. Featuring acclaimed rapper Nas as the evening’s headliner, and brother-sister duo Wild Belle, the night shined with a flavorful set of music.

Nas dropped his lyrical poetry with a fierce and powerful stage presence, while Wild Belle enamored fans with their soulful tunes and expanded band. Fans were vibing hard on their summer grooves.

In addition to the live acts, there was plenty of fun to be had. KCRW put out various games that people of all ages were able to enjoy. Games such as a life-size Connect Four and a bean bag toss. Anneberg Foundation also put together an amazing art gallery consisting of photos of refugees in various parts in the world such as Africa, Colombia, and Greece. The gallery was something words couldn’t describe. It was an experience that definitely put things into perspective.

If you missed the free Sound In Focus series this summer, don’t worry, there’s plenty more free summer concert series to enjoy. Take a look.
