Get excited fans of the dazzling English electronic music duo known as Monarchy. Consisting of the talented Andrew Armstrong (producer, DJ) and Ra Black (vocals, lyrics), Monarchy are Los Angeles bound with a headline performance at the Echoplex on Friday, November 11. Known for their sultry synth pop, one can’t help but dance at a Monarchy show. They are incredible live!
We last caught Monarchy in September of 2014 (again at the Echoplex) while touring for their Almost Human EP. Adding even more flavor to their remarkable show, Monarchy were clad in monochrome robes, masks and face paint like an electro-pop Phantom of the Opera scene. “Their ultramodern dance beats paired with majestic melodies had a swarming crowd singing along word for word, including recent hit singles “Disintegration” and “Living Without You.””
