Swedish electronic pop group Little Dragon put on a highly captivating show for fans at the Observatory in Santa Ana. Opening for Little Dragon was r&b artist Goldlink who performed with enough enthusiasm and humor to get the crowd warmed up for the headliner. Goldlink combines hip hop, r&b, and soul with a few doses of electronica to his sound that appeals to this particular audience. Goldlink played “Crew” from his latest album At What Cost which put fans in a complete awe. He also performed fan favorites “Late Night” and “Fall in Love.” Only moments after Goldlink left the stage Little Dragon make an exaggerated entrance with flickering lights and thick smoke covering the Observatory stage.

Front woman Yukimi Nagano donned her usual fashion flavor on stage as her fans eagerly pushed towards the front barricade to catch a better look at her. Always wearing an exquisite outfit, this time Nagano wore a yellow/black/white spandex suit and birdcage veil.

The percussion, production and synth sounds behind through Little Dragon’s performance was perfection and made their set all the more compelling. Little Dragon showcased a lot of their newer material from their latest album Season High. The band kicked off their set with new tracks “Celebrate” and “Sweet” which translated fantastically live. Little Dragon concluded their set with a more familiar dance track “Ritual Union” and played “Twice” for an encore.
