Sunday evening was very special over at the new House of Blues in Anaheim. Regina Spektor brought her solo tour out for a night we won’t forget. The Russian-born New Yorker dazzled the sold out crowd with her modest humor. Spektor made her way out almost 30 minutes past her scheduled set time. The poor songbird was suffering from a very bad case of bronchitis. Staying humble, Spektor shone her incomparable talents like never before despite her illness. With just a piano in front of her, she ran through her 22-song setlist quickly, but seamlessly. Performing fan favorites like “Folding Chair”, “On the Radio”, “Us” and ending with “Samson” — our hearts went wild. And with the uniquely comfortable connection shared between Spektor and her fans, there were plenty of those kooky and quirky musical stylings we all know and love.
