Listeners in their 20’s and 30’s filled in LA’s generous yet intimate bar venue, the Hi Hat this past Thursday for one of the music scene’s newest faves. Recently signed to Epitaph Records, Teenage Wrist are just about ready to release their debut album, Chrome Neon Jesus on March 9th. Looped in listeners got a very special show at the Hi Hat, getting to hear the few singles released off their 2015 EP Dazed as well as new ones off the upcoming record.

Alt princes, Teenage Wrist bring a fresh sound that is heavily inspired from some of our timeless favorites such as the Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden. With quick bass lines, lead vocalist Kamtin Mohager put the audience in a daze with his dreamy deliverance. Drummer Anthony Salazar and guitarist Marshall Gallagher complete the LA trio. Listening to them recorded is one thing – which I highly recommend you do – whereas seeing Teenage Wrist perform live is a whole other experience (which I recommend even more). Teenage Wrist have a very confident energy in their live show that I believe will bring them far. If you like the distorted guitars, dreamy vocals, emotionally heartfelt lyrics and vast dynamics found in early 90’s alternative rock then you’ll love Teenage Wrist.
