Wednesday evening held a showstopper over at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. The beautifully talented Freya Ridings got the night off to a beyond lovely start. She gave the sold out tavern a taste of her captivatingly rich sound. The London-based multi-instrumentalist shines with her seemingly effortless voice. Alone on stage with her keyboard, she flowed through her set with her singles “Blackout,” “Lost Without You” and her cover of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s “Maps”! Lucky for us she decided to cover another of her favorite artists, Hozier. She gave a jaw dropping rendition of “Work Song.” With one of those voices there really isn’t anything she can’t sing! The audience was wowed for sure.

Without further ado, the talent we all came to see – Ella Vos made the Troubadour stage. The crowd cheered as lights lit up in every direction. Vos is without a doubt a break out artist (Grimy Goods included her in their 2018 forecast) in her craft. She brings to the table her fierce, fresh emotions and stories. In support of her debut record Words I Never Said, she leaves little untold. The downtempo pop tracks take you on a rollercoaster of relatable, chill bumping tracks. She demanded the small stage and connected with the intimate venue like a pro. From singing along to her song “Rearrange” to the encore of her groundbreaking single “White Noise,” fans were infatuated.
