Indie rock duo, Now, Now, sold out West Hollywood’s Troubadour this past Friday night. After releasing their third record Saved , they’re on a huge tour supporting the comeback tunes. Joining the team on tour was new friend Wens. This rising artist is one to watch! Feeling herself on her first ever tour at the young age of 19, she treated the intimate room as a theatre. It’s always rad to witness an artist truly at home and passionate in their own talents. Wens writes these spellbinding songs with such raw emotion. From Manhattan Beach herself, Friday night served as a hometown show which brought tons of family and friends who simply put lost their minds for the duration of her performance. If you’re into Banks and the dark-electric rhythms that come with, then you should definitely check Wens out.

Without further ado were Now, Now! It’d been about 6 years since their sophomore album so it goes without saying that fans were anxious for more. Obvious time for reflection was taken by frontwoman, Kacie Dalager and drummer, Brad Hale. Though their first and second records touch more on the emo side, their new music has a much poppier and bouncy sound. They opened the set with their first track released in five years, “SGL.” There’s obvious evolution in the band’s sound with their single alone. It took Now, Now another year to finish up the new record after releasing this one and fans couldn’t be happier with the final product. The overall album has such a confidence to it that proves the band’s growth as musicians. Dalager’s stage presence couldn’t be more lively with these new songs. KC made herself at home, stepping onto the side stage speakers to get that much closer to the packed house. The duo couldn’t express their thankfulness enough to the audience for selling out the Troubadour and sharing their largest headline show to date with them. Fans deeply connect to the supposed underdogs and the night honestly felt like a living room where your talented friends so happened to play a show just for you.
