Los Angeles nights are most definitely about its diverse music. The Shrine Auditorium is on that tip and hosted a night of modern soul full of Latin flavor delivered by Kali Uchis and Gabriel Garzon Montano. The two threw down a most stunning performance.

Colombian-American singer Kali Uchis is on tour for the first time since the release of her highly acclaimed debut studio album Isolation.  Her collaborations with Tyler the Creator, Jorja Smith, Reykon and funk legend Bootsy Collins bring a myriad of spices from reggaeton to funk full of soul, and vintage nostalgia with a futuristic twist. The Shrine was packed with Kali lovers and her remarkable performance dazed the crowd from the moment she hit the stage. Kali Uchis lyrics go from love-to-life concerns; swooning over her presence is just inevitable.

Kali Uchis was powerful on her own, however, multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Gabriel Garzon Montano was the perfect opener for her show. The French-Colombian New Yorker’s skills were a display of talent beginning til end and I cannot wait to see him headlining in the future.  Adding these artist to your regular playlist is strongly recommended.
