Hiatus Kaiyote blew the roof off the Novo this Friday night. The future-soul quartet filled the room for a night entertained with their funky music. Frontwoman, Nai Palm earned the loudest applause upon making her way to center stage, complete in her zebra print bodysuit. Palm just performed the other night at the Lodge Room in Highland Park for her solo project (photos here).

With Hiatus Kaiyote, the music is just wildly captivating. With Grammy nominations under their belts, the members show their place on the live stage with such confidence. Los Angeles was night one of only a few stops in the US for the remainder of 2019. The band has shared their news of working on the new album which will follow their 2015 killer, Choose Your Weapon. 

It was only last year when the Hiatus Kaiyote came forth with the news of Nai Palm’s breast cancer diagnoses. Of course the news caused a bit of commotion within the album’s process, but with treatment and surgeries underway, they were here to perform for the fans to finish off the year with a bang.

Nai Palm is a true warrior. Her strength through life’s obstacles and her always captivating performances makes her one truly extraordinary human. Hiatus Kaiyote’s show at the Novo was a stellar performance we won’t soon forget.
